Experience: Central Tarp has been building tarps for chip trucks for over 40 years. We have worked hard to develop the #1 lasting and performing tarp in the industry. 

R.F. Welded Seams: 10 times stronger than sewn seams and no thread to rot. Where sewing is required, Central uses high quality, U.V. resistant industrial thread.

Double Layered Pipe Pockets: Optional Double layered pockets are available for extra wear protection.

Heavy-Duty Load Strap: We use top-grade, high-tenacity load strap webbing for all tie downs. Twice as strong as seat belt webbing, high abrasion resistance and longer lasting.

Highest Quality Vinyl Available: All Central Tarp’s tarps are made using premium vinyl. This vinyl has proven itself in the field and in the lab to be far superior to other common vinyls. Our vinyl has many patented technologies that give it exceptional performance against wind and U.V. break down.

Anti-Abrasion Strap Covers: All tie down straps are protected by an additional layer of vinyl to protect against wood chip abrasion.

Anti-Wear, Hot Forged, Double Bar “D” Rings: All tie down rings have an extra bar to prevent the “D” ring from turning on the webbing. All rings are plated for corrosion resistance and are hot forged for maximum strength. Every chip tarp should have this feature.

Anti-Abrasion, Heavy Duty tarp thread: Central Tarp uses a premium tarp thread designed specifically for its performance in the truck tarp industry. This thread is designed to lay very flat against the tarp, unlike regular thread that is more round in shape. This significantly reduces abrasion. This thread also has a much higher break strength, with a premium grade U.V. inhibitor.

Facilities and Equipment: Central Tarp has over 6,500 sq. ft. dedicated to the manufacturing and repair of quality chip tarps and nets located in Vernon B.C. We also have detailed plans for nearly every trailer on the road. We can build a tarp to your exact specification or any special needs you may have.
